So you urgently need access to a video on Frame.io but face the frustrating issue of downloads being disabled. While we understand that in most cases, downloads are disabled for a reason, there are plenty of reasons why you might need to get access to the file. Example, your editor isn't getting back to you, you just need a low quality reference file for your system. In our case, both were true. In such situations, it is still possible to download the file. The quality will be lower and the resolution will suffer, but in many cases it's better than nothing. Crucially, the file you get out of the system will not be suitable for professional use, and it shouldn't be. The only way to receive your files in full professional quality, it to have your post production professionals give you access to them through proper channels. But with that being said, that lower quality preview file just might be exactly what you need to get you out of a bind in good faith. The Method: Utilize Safari Developer Tools Leverage developer tools within your web browser. By inspecting the webpage elements, you can uncover the source of the video and usually retrieve it in a lower quality format. While this method may not provide the desired high-resolution video, it can serve as a temporary solution in urgent situations. Step 1: Inspect Page Elements Access the desired video on Frame.io , right-click on the webpage and select 'Inspect' to delve into the developer tools. Navigate to the 'Network' tab within the developer console to monitor network activity. By playing the video, you can identify the video file being streamed and potentially intercept it for download. Step 2: Analyze Network Requests As the video plays, scroll down to monitor the network requests in the developer tools to pinpoint the URL of the video file. Look for requests related to media content or video playback. Once you locate the file, right click and copy the URL or open it in a new tab. Step 3: Download the Video After opening the URL of the video in a new browser tab, you can right click on the quicktime player that appears in the window and click "Download video as..." to attempt to download the content. Depending on the permissions and security settings in place, usually you will be able to successfully access the video in a lower quality format, granting you the essential information you need despite the download restrictions in place. Remember, while these methods may serve as temporary solutions, it's essential to prioritize ethical considerations and respect copyright laws in all digital endeavors. For example, if your editor is withholding because you haven't paid their invoice, then you know what the right thing to do is. Accessing restricted content should be a last resort, undertaken with a full understanding of the implications involved. So, the next time you find yourself in a bind with disabled downloads on Frame.io , you now have a valuable toolkit to navigate through the limitations and secure the vital video content you require. Disclaimer: The methods described in this guide are intended for informational purposes only and should be used responsibly and legally. Respect all copyright laws and terms of service agreements when attempting to access digital content through unconventional means.
WE'RE SEEKING YOUR SUPPORT TO BRING OUR SHORT FILM "ONLY SON" TO LIFE

"Only Son" - a short film delving into love, loss, and a mother-son bond. Your support brings this touching story to life. šŸŽ¬ā¤ļø #OnlySonFilm

Hello reader, For the past 3 years, our team has been working on a deeply personal project - a short film that explores a mother and son relationship, and the profound experience of losing a parent. While it's not directly about my own mother, the story is inspired by the surprising emotions that came from the loss of my mother. After more than three years of dedication, we are excited to announce that our short film, "Only Son," has been awarded $14.5k in grants from the TAC and OAC, bringing us very close to our $20k goal. With the shoot scheduled for June, we're reaching out to our supportive community to help bring this heartfelt project to life. We have assembled a talented team of artists and filmmakers who share our passion for this story. As you can imagine, producing a film costs A LOT of money. To offset the costs and ensure that the artists involved are fairly compensated, we are seeking your support. We understand that not everyone may be in a position to contribute financially, and that's perfectly alright. Your love and encouragement mean the world to us. If you feel moved to support this project, you can make a donation through our crowdfunding campaign. Alternatively, if you would like to help in any other way, please feel free to share this post with others who may be interested in supporting the project. Thank you for being part of our journey, and for helping us share this important story with the world. Warmest regards, Johnny Hockin

Make An Explainer/Tutorial To Get More Out Of Your Explainer Video

We hear from so many people that they need explainer videos. It makes sense. It's the fastest way to explain something when you can't stand there yourself. But what if you have something that people immediately might want to use? In these cases the explainer video is only half of the equation. The solution? Add a quick tutorial or explainer to the end of your explainers. This gives your customer even more of what they want, right away. And it leads them directly into using your product or service, rather than letting it gather dust on the bottom of their latest to do list. One of our favourite clients is the CMPA. They are the association that represents Canadian film and television producers. (Producers are the unsung heroes of the media world). Look at the video we created in collaboration with them above to see an example of an explainer/tutorial that helps their membership not only understand what their new service is, but how to immediately start using it.

We've been working with event producers for years now on corporate events, launch parties, charity functions, and openings. Our partners always tell us, what matters to them is that the event is captured on video beautifully and professionally, without adding any stress to their team.
Our goal is to take care of everything. That doesn't mean you won't hear from us. In fact, we've got to ask a number of questions to make sure that we do everything to according to your needs. Corporate Events and Parties An event producer is usually happiest when the event is so fun that people whip out their phones and start filming videos. But once the dust settles, all the Snapchats and Insta stories only go so far. Our team can give you the next level of documentation, by bringing beautiful lenses, camera movement, colour correction, slow motion, and stylish editing to the table. Our highlight videos can make your event live forever, with the same level of care and attention that the events team put into crafting the event. Seminars, Conferences, & Symposiums So you're running a seminar or conference. You've spent so much time crafting your content for your audience, why leave it there in the air. Capture the entirety of your event, and expand your audience by creating e-learning products or courses, and material to give your attendees so they can re-live your time together. Our editors are happy to include the slides of your presentation, to keep the information clean and easy to read. Trade Show Videos Our team has worked for trade shows and conferences, documenting the incredible connecting force that trade shows can be, documenting the traffic, the connections made, and the incredible booths that your attending vendors are bringing to the table. We understand the complex needs of trade shows to capture VIPs and will help you plan filming to make sure that key events and sponsorship is covered. We have also worked for corporate clients, preparing video to show off at their conference booths. With high-end video, your trade show screens will call out to attendees and cut through the noise on the show room floor. If you're looking for high-end, beautiful coverage of your event in the Greater Toronto Area or southern Ontario, get in touch with us today. We'd be happy to prepare a custom estimate to give you a sense of what we offer our clients.
